Dr. Pham
Dr. Pham was born in Vietnam. At the age of 18, he was accepted to Minh Duc Medical School. However, due to the fall of his country in 1975, he migrated to the United States. Dr. Pham attended at Southern Illinois University and University of Texas at San Antonio where he earned his bachelor degree with Magna Cum Laude in 1979. In 1985, he earned his Medical Doctor degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Pham's interests in women's health care. He joined Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York for his specialty training in OB/GYN and became chief resident in 1988. In 1989, he moved to Downey, California and has been practicing OB/GYN since.
At Downey Regional Medical Center, Dr. Pham has been serving Hospital Improving Committee since 2002. He also has been an active member of OB/GYN committee for many years. He is a specialty consultant for Caremore Medical Group as well as an active member of Credential Committee for this group.
He is a Board Certified OB/GYN and concentrates in obstetrics and all aspect of female surgeries such as laparoscopic surgeries, bladder suspension, uterine or vaginal prolapsed, female related cancers and infertility.

Dr. Devadatt Mishal
Dr. Devadatt Mishal established the practice in Downey in 1982. He is a graduate of the University of Bombay and finished his training in OB/Gyn at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. He served as a Chief Resident during his last year. Dr. Mishal is trained in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. His special interests are laparoscopic surgery treatment of infertility and menopause. He has personally delivered over 6,000 babies and his associates have added another 10,000 babies so far.
Dr. Mishal is a prominent member of Downey Regional Medical Center. He has been a Chairman of the Department of OB/Gyn for over 10 years. Dr. Mishal has served as a President of the Medical Staff for 2 years, and is also a member of various committees at the hospital. Dr. Mishal was honored by the Downey Regional Medical Center in 2002 for his contributions to the hospital. He is also a co-founder of Alliance Physicians Medical Group, Inc., a prominent medical group in Downey area that takes care of thousands of patients.
Dr. Gil Bender
Dr. Gil Bender, MD, was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He received his Bachelor's of Arts degree from Cornell University in New York, his MD degree from Chicago Medical School in Illinois, and finished his OB/Gyn residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Pennsylvania. He has been practicing in Downey, CA since 1994. He is the past Chairman of OB/Gyn and the past Chairman of Credentials at Downey Regional Medical Center. He is presently Vice Chief-of-Staff at Downey Regional Medical Center and has served on the Medical Executive Committee for 10 years.
Dr. Bender is a Co-Founder of Alliance Physicians Medical Group, and excellent IPA in the Downey Area serving all HMO's. Dr. Bender is presently the Chairman and CEO of Alliance Physicians.

Dr. Cathy Truong
Dr. Cathy Truong is a graduate of UC Irvine where she attended the School of Biological Sciences as well as the College of Medicine. She then received training in OB/Gyn at Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles and became board certified and a Fellow of the American College of OB/Gyn in 1998. Dr. Truong is multi-lingual, fluent in English and Vietnamese, and medically proficient in Spanish. She enjoys the relationships she has been able to forge with her patients throughout her 9 years of practice in Downey, especially with families where she was able to deliver all 2 or 3 or even 4 of their children!
When she's not busy helping to bring babies into the world or taking care of women and their medical needs, she enjoys gardening, traveling, snorkeling, hiking and just about any activity that allows her to be outdoors under the sun! Dr. Truong is also very active at her church and has been involved in children's ministry, college Sunday school, greeting/ushering ministry and has been on missionary trips to Vietnam and Thailand. She has been a speaker on women's health issues at several local churches, and was recently a guest speaker for the Living Help Clinic at their annual fundraising dinner.
